Hey Joe, sorry it took so long to get back to ya. It took about 4 hrs, when we got there a gentleman was filleting a bunch of salmon, we took all the leftovers and the crabs went nuts over the bait. We had to throw back as many females, We did lose 2 nets to seals, they liked the salmon as much as the crabs....Anyway, great day at Newport.............;)

To the seals! First time I've heard of that.

Sounds like a great day on the bay.

Fresh salmon has always worked well for me at my vacation house in Puget Sound. I mix salmon with chicken wings as they are very bony. Even once the meat is gone the boned hold the scent. Works amazingly well!
