Don't worry about weather you can fish in a tee shirt if you want, I've got a good heater.

It was a good day on the boat, could not have asked for a better day weather wise
also got to pop someones cherry with their first sturgeon but I'm not going to say who's.
The only thing to make the day better would have been if the fish were just a couple inches longer.

:eek:I know that is what she said:rolleyes:

I was lucky to be able to pop another cherry yesterday on the columbia. we started out at 7:15 one guy brought one in around 10 then it was dead.
then around 2 another guy thought he had a big on on, it started striping line off the reel, as he tightened the drag a little it seemed like it was starting to go under the boat that is when we released it line was heading to the kicker motor. Yep you guessed it it was getting wound up into the prop. we decided to head to a nearby dock to work on the line because whitecaps were starting to show.
we finally got the prop pulled and the line off and headed back out only to find that the water was calming down so we just headed to another hole after about a half hour the water almost looked like a lake just a couple ripples, unfortunately the fishing was just like the water flat with nothing going on about an hour before sunset my pole went to bobbing and jerking I set the hook and handed it to the newbie. he took the pole and had a fight on his hands with a smile from ear to ear.
He finally got it up to the boat and he was bouncing around shaking and talking a mile a minute the he really got excited when it turned out to be a keeper.

They may be on spring break some where. They even cut the number from around 385 to about 135 because there are so few keeper size
