Big genetic difference between wild and hatchery salmon

    Do you mean hatchery fish?
    It's all we can keep in most areas since the wild fish (which are derived from hatchery fish) are so precious that fisherman , for the most part, can just play with and have to release them.

    if you don't eat hatchery fish I'm willing to bet you don't eat much fish, like caveman said (so called) wild fish are catch and release only.
